What's On My Bedside Table?

Sunday, 14 October 2012

I've always enjoyed reading these posts by other bloggers, so today I've I decided to do my own 'What's On My Bedside Table?' post.  These are a selection of beauty products that I often apply before going to bed.

L'Occitane Rose Petals Hand Cream
I always apply hand cream every night without fail, especially in the colder months.  The one I'm using at the moment is a current magazine freebie from L'Occitane and it's super moisturising.

LUSH Fair Trade Foot Lotion
Luckily the days where I used to be on my feet all day working in retail are behind me, but I've still kept up the ritual of looking after my feet at the end of the day.  This foot lotion from LUSH has a cooling and refreshing spearmint scent to it and also has organic and fairtrade cocoa butter to keep your feet nice and soft.

Gwdihw Nail Wizard Balm*
For the last few months, I've been trying to remember to use some cuticle balm on my nails each night, and I've seen a big improvement in the strength and length of my nails since doing so.  I'm currently using a balm from an independent Welsh company called Gwdihw, you can see my review of it here.

NEOM Tranquility Organic Pillow Mist
Every now and again, I seem to get plagued with weeks where I just can't get to sleep.  To help me relax and send me off to the land of nod, I spray a little of this gorgeous NEOM scent over my pillows and bedsheets.  The Lavender, Jasmine and Sweet Basil scent is very calming and I find that I manage to eventually fall asleep on those troublesome nights.  It's quite a strong scent, so you only need 1-2 sprays per use.

Etat Pur Salicylic Acid 300mg
If I can feel a blemish coming on or I already have one, I'll dab a little of this onto it before going to bed  Come morning, the blemish has reduced dramatically, hooray!  You can read my review of it here

John Masters Organics Lip Calm
Last but not least, no bedside table can be complete without a trusty lip balm.  I usually opt for a thick one for night time, but at the moment I'm using up a tube of John Masters Lip Calm which has a lovely citrus flavour to it.

  2. I always forget to use a cuticle balm. I'll do it for a few nights then totally forget for months.

I need to get myself a pillow mist but lavender and jasmine kick start my headaches. I'll have to research other relaxing scents.

    1. I used to forget all the time, but I now seem to have a little ritual of what I put on before getting into bed. My nails have thanked me for it!

You could try something that has Vetiver in? It's more potent and relaxing than Lavender but less people seem to get headaches from it (my mum has the same problem as you, so she just uses a few drops of Vetiver Essential Oil to help her sleep) xx

I know what you mean - I received the Pillow Mist in a gift set for my Birthday so I was lucky that I didn't have to pay for it. Dreading the day it runs out though! xx
